RNBA organized an exposure visit supported by APPI to Visakhapatnam to learn on the subject of Zero Budget Natural Farming. The visit was carried out from 11th November 2018-14th November 2018. The visit was organized for APPI 3 Partner NGOs comprising of 9 participants (3 Coordinators & 3 farmers from RNBA, 1 Coordinator & 1 farmer from CWG and 1 community organizer from PHDO). Kovel Foundation facilitated the 3- day visit. RySS and Kovel Foundation gave a comprehensive orientation on ZBNF programme before the visit begun. Team RNBA guided by Kovel Foundation visited Suridepalem village, Chanagadar village inchetarpallu district, Madeem Village in Vizag district of Andhra Pradesh and Sanganavin at Lingabaram village in GKVD Mandel. Farmers under ZBNF Programme are practicing 5 layer model plantation, natural pest management, and dissemination of knowledge to farmers/SHGs through small and portable projector, four wheels principle on SRI Fields and intercropping. The purpose of the visit was to generate an exchange of experience and good practices. We learned that National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) through Girijava Vikash Surchandra Seva Shewstham (GVSSS) Resource cluster supported thirty lakhs (Rs. 30, 00000/-) as loan to women groups for sustainable livelihood as they continue to help the farmers through FPO (Farmers Producers Organisation) and facilitate farmers, bringing positive change.
