I am Abhilasha Bharali, a social work professional with a Master’s in Social Work from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work, Mumbai. Since 2017, my journey has taken me across diverse facets of the social sector—from working directly with grassroots communities, women, children, and persons with disabilities in Assam and mostly Mumbai. Post covid, shifting back my home state I got to work with the Government of Assam through the Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment and the Directorate of Adult Education for nearly five years. These experiences have given me a holistic understanding of the social sector—from communities and civil society to government systems and institutional processes. Today, as an Implementation Manager in Organisational Development, I work with grassroots organisations to strengthen governance, legal compliance, human resources, finance, and MIS, helping build credible and resilient institutions. Having seen the sector from multiple perspectives, I am deeply passionate about exploring Organisational Development as a catalyst for stronger organisations and lasting social impact.
