Realm of Nature-Based Action (RNBA), established in 1985, is a grassroots, non-profit, non-religious, and non-governmental organization committed to inclusive socio-economic and rural development across Northeast India—particularly in Manipur, Nagaland, and Assam. RNBA focuses on key thematic areas including Natural Resource Management, Sustainable Livelihoods, Land Rights and Entitlements, Education, and Organisational Development. With an evolving vision, RNBA now emphasizes both institutional strengthening and the design of scalable, sustainable development models suited to the unique needs of Northeast India.

Currently active in over 350 villages, RNBA works in partnership with the Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) across 16 districts. The organization places a strong emphasis on gender mainstreaming, PVTG empowerment, and peacebuilding as cross-cutting priorities to address the complex and multidimensional development challenges faced by tribal communities in the region.

RNBA also hosts a Regional Resource Centre, serving as a hub for capacity building, leadership development, and institutional strengthening of grassroots NGOs, CSOs, and community leaders. With a growing network of partner organisations across the Northeast, RNBA continues to play a catalytic role in promoting resilient, sustainable, and people-centered development.
