Realm of Nature Based Actions RNBA, in partnership with the Azim Premji Foundation, has launched a six-month initiative titled “Livelihoods with Dignity – Micro-Enterprise and Livelihood Support for IDPs in Manipur.” This program focuses on restoring dignity and self-reliance among more than 2,000 displaced households living across 15 relief camps in Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Kangpokpi, Imphal West, and Imphal East districts.
Target Beneficiaries and Coverage
- 15 Relief Camps across five districts (three per district).
- ~2000 households will benefit, focusing on:
- Women-headed families
- Unemployed youth
- Marginalized and vulnerable groups

- Through models like backyard poultry, mushroom cultivation, weaving, and small micro-enterprises, the initiative focuses on quick-return, space-adapted livelihoods for women and youth. It includes training, starter kits, SHG formation, and market linkages to ensure sustainability and self-reliance.

- Through skill training, SHG formation (with MSRLM), starter kits, and market linkages, the initiative helps families rebuild economic independence and self-reliance. Continuous mentoring, monitoring, and collaboration with local CSOs ensure long-term sustainability and impact.
- By combining micro-enterprise development, capacity building, and community organization, RNBA’s initiative aims to reduce aid dependency and restore hope, dignity, and resilience among displaced communities in Manipur.
